Amusing Ourselves to Death by Stuart McMillen (May 2009)
Aldous Huxley (Author: “Brave New World”) vs. George Orwell (Author: Nineteen Eighty-Four)
i think about not only this concept but this very comic literally weekly
“We read to know that we are not alone.”- C.S. Lewis

The art is what made the books scary.

It’s Nancy Drew time! Thanks @zooeydeschanel (Taken with instagram)
I just finished reading this. No shame
Reading list for over the next month and a half…in order from start to finish…
Excited to get started once the dude leaves for tour.
PS: Apparently I’ve heard I still need to get The Hunger Games
edit: true story……I am borrowing these books from Ian’s roommates and I am a pansy….terrified of “scary” things….I was so freaked out by the glow-in-the-dark cover of Haunted that I straight up made an old fashioned book cover out of a paper bag at their house last night!!!! …kind of impressed with my book cover making skills…I love how I put, “Chuck P.” like we’re old buddies…
I’ve read all of these!! they’re amazinggg Sas!
I love Haunted, the short stories in it are amazing. My favorites are “The Nightmare Box” and “Obsolete”. Invisible Monster is also amazing but I wasn’t really a fan of Survivor, don’t know why.

Ahhhh Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The illustrations in these books were always so creepy.
Illustrations were creepier than the stories themselves.
